Probably the biggest misconception about the waterless car wash and definitely the one that is most frustrating for us is that you simply can’t get your car clean without water. In a way, we sort of understand why people might think that because they have been taught since they were young that the key to washing your car is by using water. Talking about washing your car still conjures up images of water for most people so we can’t be too upset but still, we know that there is a better way to do things that is superior in just about every way.
What we like to say to anybody who is a non-believer in all things waterless is to challenge them to a wash off. We let them use their water technique along with any other products that might help them along the way. While they are doing that we get to work with nothing but a couple of micro fiber towels and a bottle of waterless car wash solution. What they tend to notice is that while they have to get a whole bunch of equipment out and ready, while untangling hoses – we are getting right to work. Usually by the time they are spraying their first bits of water, we are wrapping up the whole process entirely.
The look on their faces tend to be pretty priceless because they are still washing their car while a beautiful and shiny car is sitting right next to them. This gives them a bunch of motivation to wash their car really well as they are determined to make their car look better than the one we just washed without water. Then they end up washing for an extended period of time, trying to bring out that shine but eventually they will give up. There is simply no way to bring out that level of shine using anything but the waterless car wash.
At that point, all but the most stubborn of people are forced to admit that the waterless car wash has some serious benefits and advantages over their method. They also can’t help but notice how quickly we were able to achieve the results and the fact that the wash can literally be performed anywhere since all you need is the micro fiber towels and the bottle of solution. It doesn’t take long before they are asking us where they can buy a bottle for themselves.
So if you have people that are doubting the waterless car wash around you, why not try out this method and see if you can turn them into believers. It is a quick and fun experiment and you have the added benefit of feeling good about yourself for turning someone onto the waterless car wash which will help the environment. Don’t worry either about your friend possibly being able to wash to a higher level of shine than you – when you are washing with the waterless car wash that is simply not possible.
